Tederic Machinery will present for the first time at the K 2022 (Hall 15, Booth D40) the economically attractive and reliable injection molding machine ‘NEO series’, which is experiencing increasing popularity among European plastics processors in 2022. Three injection molding machines will produce applications for the automotive, medical, and packaging industries. As the official sales agency for Germany, the mechanical engineering startup PlastiVation Machinery GmbH will be present at the Tederic booth.
K 2022: Premiere for Tederic ‘NEO series’ and for PlastiVation
“We are looking forward to the next premiere of the Tederic ‘NEO series’ in Germany. This will be on display for the first time at the K plastics trade fair,” says Bengt Schmidt, founder and CEO of PlastiVation Machinery GmbH. The highlight is the NEO-M1120s multi-component injection molding machine, which has already won an ‘Industry Innovation Award’ in Asia. Other exhibits include the NEO-E208c electric injection molding machine and the NEO-T160 universal toggle injection molding machine. “PlastiVation will also be making its debut at K 2022 as a mechanical engineering start-up and official sales representative of Tederic in Germany, and will be providing personal advice to customers, business partners and those interested in the industry at the Tederic booth in Hall 15,” says Schmidt.
Tederic ‘NEO series’: Increasing popularity among plastics processors in Europe
The Tederic ‘NEO series’ has seen an increase in popularity among European plastics processors this year. These companies can produce their plastic products efficiently and with high value and increase their productivity with the economically attractive and reliable production solutions. “The four injection molding machine series of the Tederic ‘NEO series’ have the right performance characteristics for numerous injection molding applications: flexible, functional and with simple operator guidance. All this at a low cost, stable and reliable,” emphasizes Dr. Daniel Ammer, Vice President R&D. At the K 2022, injection molding machines from the NEO-M, NEO-E and NEO-T series will be on display in production operation.
NEO·M1120s: Multi-component injection molding machine produces high-gloss B-pillar
Among the three exhibits, the NEO-M1120s/e1700c e1100c multi-component injection molding machine, which has already won an ‘Industry Innovation Award’ in Asia, stands out. Injection compression molding (Coinsure™) is used to produce a high-gloss B-pillar for automotive applications with opposing injection units, a horizontal turning table and two electric injection units. The positioning accuracy of the tie bars is up to ±0.01 mm, providing the user high dimensional accuracy of the parts. The position and force of each tie bar is controlled independently. Reduced cavity pressure improves optical properties and meets stringent requirements for optical parts. Energy losses and manufacturing costs are also reduced. The solution produced at the K 2022 with ABS and PMMA has a weight of 220 grams and is 40% lighter than glass. The cycle time is around 85 seconds.
NEO·E208c: Pipette production on powerful electric toggle injection molding machine
Pipettes for medical applications are produced with a clamping force of 208 t on the high-performance NEO-E208c/e620h electric toggle injection molding machine with integrated servo hydraulics. The cycle time with the 48-cavity mold is seven seconds. The part weight of the pipettes produced from polypropylene (PP) is 0.32 grams. This provides cleanroom production in accordance with ISO Class 8 (10w). The high-resolution control system of the NEO-E208c is ideal for high-precision multi-cavity molds. The high shot weight consistency of 0.1% provides consistent product dimensions and meets the requirements for medical parts production in Europe. The NEO-E208c/e620h is equipped with a Tederic linear robot.
NEO·T160: Universal toggle injection molding machine produces one hundred percent biodegradable plate
The high-quality NEO-T160/i600 universal toggle injection molding machine produces a one hundred percent biodegradable plate with a Tederic linear robot as a packaging application with a clamping force of 160 tons. The cycle time for a plate weighing 158 grams is 68 seconds. The plates have a temperature barrier of 100⁰C, solving the problem of poor heat resistance of PLA materials. The material is fully biodegradable and meets all requirements for food use (GB/T, EN, ASTM and FDA standards).
